Another hike in electricity prices: As expected, the Minister of Electricity revealed yesterday that Egypt will raise electricity prices by an average of 14.9% in FY 2019/20 effective 1 July 2019. According to Reuters, this is the lowest percentage increase in the past four years since the Egyptian government embarked on its economic reform program as part of its plan to eliminate subsidies.
